Parris Goebel Makes Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Rookie Debut Modeling Eco-friendly Brand Decolet
Parris Goebel has been named as the latest Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue rookie. She will appear in the 2025 issue in May alongside the likes of fellow rookies Ming Lee Simons as well as Denise Bidot.
Born in New Zealand, Goebel is an Emmy-award winning artist. She was shot by Yu Tsai in Jamaica wearing a green swimsuit from Decolet The Label, a Los Angeles-based swim- and resort-wear company. The brand also offers jewelry.

“Commanding every space — stage, sand and beyond,” the publication wrote to Instagram sharing images from the shoot.
Goebel is most known as a choreographer. Over the years she has worked with names like Doja Cat, Teyana Taylor and Karol G. Most recently, she choreographed Lady Gaga’s “Abracadabra” music video, which premiered during the Grammy Awards last Sunday. Prior to that, she had a hand in Beyoncé’s NFL Halftime show performance on Christmas as well as Rihanna’s 2023 Super Bowl Halftime performance.
Goebel has done brand work as well, choreographing for a Nike ad, in addition to releasing a collaborative sneaker with the company. She also has worked with Tresemme, Christian Dior and Rihanna’s Savage X Fenty line, choreographing for that brand’s fashion show. It was the latter project that won her an Emmy award in 2022.
Under the direction of MJ Day, Sports Illustrated’s Swimsuit Issue has been embracing a more expansive cohort of models. The 2025 edition taps several notably athletes and models. In addition to Bidot and Lee Simons, Xandra Pohl as well as Christen Goff, Roshumba Williams and Nicole English will appear in the issue.
Sports Illustrated Swimsuit has been a stand-alone issue since 1997.
