Paris Hilton Recalls How Heidi Klum 'Saved the Day' After Trailer Fire at Music Video Shoot (Exclusive)

Hilton tells PEOPLE about the "terrifying" video shoot for "Bad Bitch Academy" featuring Megan Thee Stallion from her new album, 'Infinite Icon'

Paris Hilton's latest music video shoot took her signature "That's hot" catchphrase to a dangerous new level.

While filming the video for Hilton's new single, "Bad Bitch Academy" with Megan Thee Stallion, last month, a trailer containing the 43-year-old businesswoman and musician's clothes and other personal belongings accidentally caught fire. Luckily, however, she was able to continue with the production — thanks to Heidi Klum, who costars in the video.

"Everyone was like, 'Oh my God, Bad Bitch Academy's so hot, it went on fire,'" Hilton, whose new Infinite Icon album is out now, tells PEOPLE. "But that was really terrifying."

The "Stars Are Blind" performer was in the midst of shooting the visual (which also features Lance Bass) when she noticed her glam team and other crew members abruptly leaving. Her videographer then broke the news of the fire, which resulted in the loss of custom outfits, jewelry, shoes and more.

"Literally everything — all my personal things, all my diaries that I brought," recalls Hilton. "I brought 10 different carry-on bags with all of my personal items and all my favorite things because I like to bring everything with me so I'm prepared for everything at all moments. All of that, just gone."

Then, the Simple Life star got a call from Klum, 51, who was told the set was getting shut down due to the lost items. "She's like, 'But I have these two extra dresses in here. Why don't you just put this on and then we can just go out and do the scene?'" recalls Hilton.

She took up the German model's offer, wore her clothes and instructed the team to make some calls and attempt to replace some other burned materials. "I was like, 'The show must go on. Let's go. Let's go. This is crazy. But people have worked too hard on this for us just to quit. I'm not doing that,'" says the mother of two. "And we killed it."

Everyone remained on the video set until 2 a.m. in order to finish the production, which was still wrapped in time for the video, directed by Hannah Lux Davis, to premiere alongside the Infinite Icon release on Sept. 6.

"Thank God," says Hilton. "Heidi literally saved the day."

Looking back, it's unclear what exactly sparked the fire. "They think it could have been something electrical because the air conditioning was being weird and making noises, and it seemed like it wasn't working," says the Paris in Love star. "It was blowing out heat."

Hilton's new album marks her first since 2006's Paris. "I've always loved music. It's always been such a huge passion of mine," she declares. "But in those years since my first album, I have just been busy building my empire and working on the million projects I'm doing in all my different businesses."

In celebration of the Infinite Icon release, fans can currently purchase exclusive merchandise based on the album's cover from Pacsun. "I want everyone who listens to my new music to feel like an icon," said Hilton in a statement about the collection, "and now with these new amazing pieces, they will be Sliving!"
