Not one to stick with one hair style for long, the pop star and presenter has debuted yet another 180 makeover. Specifically, she leveraged her love of naked selfies – which has previously seen her frolic nude in a bath, share a sweaty topless sauna pic, and a completely naked spa photo – to unveil her latest hairdo.
In an IG Story published on 1 November, she can be seen wearing well, not very much at all, all while rocking long af, raven locks that reach right down to her hips with matching black eyebrows. Her strategically positioned hair covers her chest and gold underwear straps are visible at her hips.
She captioned the pic "How to be a goth by @tishweinstock I'm trying lol" in reference to How to Be a Goth: Notes on Undead Style the new book by beauty editor and socialite Tish Weinstock, which provides cultural and style tips on the gothic aesthetic.
But, as it turns out, Rita's gothic locks aren't just a gothic pivot for spooky season. Nope, they're part of an elaborate couple's costume for Halloween.
As debuted in an Instagram post, Rita and husband Taika Waititi rocked matching 'fits for Halloween: dressing as Zorro (played by Antonio Banderas) and Elena (played by Catherine Zeta-Jones, known for her luscious black hair – hence Rita's wig!) from the films The Mask of Zorro and The Legend of Zorro.
