Louis Tomlinson says One Direction reunion 'will happen' sending fans into frenzy
There has long been talks about a One Direction reunion ever since the band took an indefinite hiatus back in 2016, a year after Zayn Malik left the group.
And now fans are freaking out that Niall Horan, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne might finally reform the group after Louis dropped a major hint that a reunion ‘will happen’.
The boyband was formed a decade ago on The X Factor by music mogul Simon Cowell, but band members have been going their separate ways for the past four years.
Now, in an appearance on BBC’s The One Show, Louis, who has only just released his first debut album as a solo artist, said something that has whipped fans into a frenzy.
“I think it’ll happen at some point,” Louis told hosts of a potential reunion.
“We’d be stupid not to, but we’re just exploring ourselves.”
But the news of a potential reunion quickly spread with fans sharing their excitement on Twitter.
“I’d literally give up my kid for One Direction tickets if they do a reunion tour,” one person wrote,
There’s a confirmed one direction reunion THIS. IS. NOT. A. DRILL.

A few even looked into each band member’s current tour schedule and are adamant the reunion will happen with everyone finishing solo touring duties before the end of 2020.
“One Direction reunion will happen, trust me,” one fan wrote alongside a video.

While Louis added that “he’s only just finding my feet really”, bandmate Harry styles on the other hand has been flying from success to success since the band split.
His second studio album Fine Line broke records for being the biggest debut from a British male artist. His single Sign of the Times topped charts in the UK and he also bagged a Brit Award for the accompanying music video.
Add to that his acting debut in movie Dunkirk and Harry has been everywhere.
Liam has also had success with his 2017 song Strip That Down from his debut album LP1 released in December last year.
As this stage it’s not known whether ex-band mate Zayn Malik will get involved in a reunion if it does happen. But Liam has previously revealed One Direction's solo careers were ‘just a warm up for an epic reunion’.
Earlier this month Liam Payne also teased there could be a One Direction documentary.
Asked by Dubai newspaper, The City Times, if he remembered the last time he visited the country, he said: “It's hard for me to remember gigs because it was a blur of planes, sound checks and screams. I think we filmed a show [here] and it'll be part of a documentary around an anniversary.”
Meanwhile, Niall Horan is quite keen on a reunion as he confessed he is already starting to miss parts of being with the 'What Makes You Beautiful' hitmakers.
“Every now and then you're like, 'Fookin' hell, where is everyone?' You're sitting in an airport lounge, they call you for a plane, and you don't stand up initially because you're waiting on everyone else, you know? 'Oh, Louis'll be back from the toilet in a minute’.”
