Singer Louis Tomlinson has issued a statement after an animated sex scene between him and One Direction bandmate Harry Styles was aired on HBO’s controversial TV show, Euphoria.

Taking to Twitter, the 27-year-old musician informed fans that he had not been contacted by the show’s producers about the storyline, let alone given it the tick of approval.

“I can categorically say that I was not contacted nor did I approve it,” he tweeted.

In the third episode of the HBO show, viewers learn more about character Kat (played by Barbie Ferreira) and her fan fiction called ‘Larry Stylinson’, which depicts One Direction’s Louis and Harry as gay lovers.

Viewers see a piece of Kat’s fan fiction come to life in an animated video on a laptop, and it’s called ‘The First Night’, set during the first night of the 2013 Take Me Home tour.

Narrated by Rue (played by Zendaya), the clip shows Louis and Harry engaging in oral sex, and even a British accent is performed for the boy band members’ lines.

“Louis was unusually nervous, his mouth was dry, palms sweaty when he felt the press of Harry's body from behind,' Rue narrates as Harry is seen approaching Louis.

“Harry can sense the nervous tension running through Louis' stiff body.”

“What are you doing?,” Rue narrates Louis’ response.

While Louis Tomlinson has commented on the Euphoria sex scene, Harry Styles is yet to speak out on social media.

"To calm your nerves. You're my best mate and this is what mates do for one another,” is Harry’s reaction.

"But Harry, what if someone sees?” replies Louis, to which Harry simply says, “Let them”.

While Louis has made his stance clear, Harry is yet to publicly comment on the controversial episode.

Meanwhile this isn’t the first controversial storyline for the HBO show, which made headlines with its second episode featuring 30 penises in the one scene.
