New MAFS star Selin's amazing transformation in just eight weeks

New Married At First Sight bride Selin has shared her own weight loss transformation online, after deciding to get back in shape after the birth of her son Roman in 2019.

When Roman was just four months old, Selin joined an eight-week F45 challenge with her sister at their local gym and lost an impressive 9.3kg.

The new mum committed to changing her diet and exercise habits to get back her pre-pregnancy figure.

But most importantly, she says it was about being healthy for her son.

"After having him, I was very much into sweets and wasn't really watching my diet," Selin wrote in an Instagram post at the time.

"I thought about it and whatever I was eating was going to my son. I decided us mamas will commit to the eight weeks and eat well and train, mainly for our babies.

"We want to lead a healthy lifestyle for our bubs and be the best version of ourselves."

And the results were impressive.

"My sis getting #1 place and me getting #2 place!," she posted.

"But the main thing was that we feel better! We are so proud of each other and will continue to live a healthier lifestyle. Proud of us!"

"#8weekchallenge completed!" Selin teased in an earlier post, posing with her sister Elif.

"So happy with our results and our focus during the challenge ... I’m grateful to have done this with u sis @elifgaras (not bad, good size lol)!!!

"Ready to live a well-balanced healthy lifestyle from now on ... for example, I’m having Ben & Jerry’s salted caramel core ice cream while posting this hahahaha."

Viewers were introduced to Selin on Season Nine of Married At First Sight, which premiered this week.

Dating was previously on the backburner for Selin as she focused on raising her son (who turns three in April), working and being the healthiest she could be to keep up with being a single working mum.

But now she's giving love a chance, marrying 'husband' Anthony on the controversial reality TV series.

"I just want an honest, old-school kinda love, a 'pinch me' moment," she said about appearing on the show.

Married At First Sight continues 7:30pm tonight on Channel 9 and 9Now.
