Netflix star Lucas Bravo drops major hint he's done with Emily in Paris
Lucas Bravo has made it clear that Emily in Paris has not been a 'stimulating' enough role for him recently.
While Netflix's Emily in Paris fans are obsessed with Lucas Bravo's character Gabriel, it seems as though the actor may not feel the same way. And in heartbreaking news to viewers, Lucas has hinted in a new interview that he might not stick around on the show for long.
After the show first aired in 2020, Lucas has enjoyed more success outside of the French film and TV market, with roles in Mrs Harris Goes to Paris and a role alongside George Clooney and Julia Roberts in Ticket to Paradise. And the actor is making it very clear he wants more interesting work than what he's getting with Emily in Paris.

While promoting his newest project, Libre, in which he plays the lead Bruno Sulak, a gentleman burglar from the 80s, Lucas has revealed he would like to bring more meaning back to his career.
"Emily in Paris brought me a snowball effect that allowed me to meet certain people, to try to set up something lasting. It's good entertainment, an escape. But I feel the need to raise awareness a little about what I'm talking about," he told Le Figaro.
When they asked whether or not we'd see him in the highly anticipated fifth season of the show, he said, "It will depend on the script because I think I've covered everything a bit. I don't really have any freedom and, as I'm starting to be given some elsewhere, I'm getting a taste for it. Life is short. The filming of this series lasts five months. Do I want to sacrifice them to tell something that doesn't stimulate me?"
Ouch!
Speaking about where he'd like to see Gabriel develop in the future, he added, "I would like him to find a bit of panache again. In the last season, the writing was in this idea of the 90s where lovers move away, kiss, move away again... Everything is based on the lack of communication. It's a bit archaic.
"Today, the new generation verbalises, confronts each other, it doesn't work anymore this side we cross paths and we don't understand each other. People see this mechanism coming from miles away...
"And I don't want to be part of a cog that tends not to consider the intelligence of the spectators."
Double ouch!
Fans disappointed by Emily in Paris season 4 ending
Fans have also expressed their disappointment in Emily (Lily Collins) and Gabriel's relationship and the way it ended abruptly in season four, with Emily moving to Rome, where her new boyfriend, Marcello (Eugenio Franceschini), lives. At the end of the season, Gabriel finds out Emily has moved to Rome for six months and decides to chase her.
While many fans want her to get back together with Gabriel, others are over the back and forth.
"I used to root for Gabriel but I’ve had enough. He’s too fickle-minded and Emily deserves better," one Instagram user said.
"Gabriel wanting to see her in Rome means drama between her and Marcello, which starts to be really repetitive tbh," another said, echoing Lucas' statements. "Just let her be happy in a long-lasting relationship for once, PLEASE."
"I truly think it's exhausting being team Gabriel, this character represents all the guys who are walking cautionary tails," a third said.
"I don't want confused Gabriel in her life again," someone else said.

"Hope she stays in Rome with Marcello. He’s the guy," yet another said. "I loved how her character has evolved & if she ends up with Gabriel it’ll feel like going backwards. Her relationship with him is so toxic, both need to move on."
"So sick of Gabriel 😭 the writers ruined him in season four and the chemistry isn’t there between them anymore," one person added.
If the fans think this and Lucas himself thinks this, what hope do we have of seeing Gabriel in season five?
