As we revealed this week, two-time Oscar nominee Colman Domingo has joined Nosferatu star Bill Skarsgard and Stranger Things‘ Dacre Montgomery in the movie.

The official logline reads: “The morning of February 8, 1977, Anthony G. “Tony” Kiritsis, 44, entered the office of Richard O. Hall, president of the Meridian Mortgage Company, and took him hostage with a sawed-off 12-gauge shotgun wired with a “dead man’s wire” from the trigger to Tony’s own neck. This is the true story of the stand-off that took the world by storm as Tony demanded $5 million, no charges or prosecution, and a personal apology from the Halls for cheating him out of what he was “owed”.”

Producers include Cassian Elwes (Mudbound), Joel David Moore (Bride Hard), Tom Culliver, Sam Pressman, Mark Amin, Remi and Noor Alfallah, Andrea Bucko, Matt Murphie, Paula Paizes and Billy Hines. WME Independent is handling world sales.

Rising actress Myha’la is coming off season three of HBO’s hit series Industry, and supporting turns in Sam Esmail’s Leave The World Behind for Netflix and A24’s Bodies Bodies Bodies. Vet Elwes was most recently seen in Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning. The movie represents a reunion for John Robinson and Van Sant, who last worked together on Palme D’Or winner Elephant.

Known for films such as Good Will Hunting and Elephant, Van Sant returns to the director’s chair for the first time since 2018’s Don’t Worry, He Won’t Get Far on Foot starring Joaquin Phoenix. Currently, he’s also attached to helm a film on the Hulk Hogan vs Gawker court case starring Ben Affleck and Matt Damon.
