I’m A Celebrity 2025 cast 'split' as one campmate banks $215,000 more than others
An insider has revealed to Yahoo Lifestyle that the talent was split into three tiers.
This year’s I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! Australia campmates will be laughing all the way to the bank once they leave the jungle, but their pay packets are a far cry from stars on the previous seasons during the show’s peak.
A TV insider tells Yahoo Lifestyle that this year’s cast is “the cheapest ever” as Paramount Global, who own Channel 10, continue to cut costs across the business.

According to the source, Dave Hughes is this year’s top earner and secured a deal allegedly worth $250,000 but not everybody is taking home quite as much. Matty J, Sam Thaiday and Shayna Jack are believed to have negotiated deals between $100,000 and $175,000 for a two-week stint in the jungle, with a clause in their contracts stating they’ll receive an additional $5,000 for each extra day they remain on the show.

Meanwhile, British TikTok star Max Balegde and Reggie Bird are said to take home around $100,000 each. Reality stars Samantha Moitzi and Tina Provis are alleged to be this year’s least-paid stars, with deals worth between $35,000 and $60,000.
The insider, who has worked across several Australian television networks, said: “When it comes to casting a show like this, production split the talent into three tiers, with three different pay brackets. They start at the top, where they can spend millions, and then once they’ve signed their bigger names, they see who they can get for cheap to complete the line-up.”

When asked why this year’s line-up is being referred to as “the cheapest ever” in the media industry, the source claimed: “There’s just nowhere near as much money in free-to-air television as there used to be.”
During the show’s heyday, Shane Warne was the highest-paid campmate, taking home a reported $2 million for his appearance on season two in 2015.
