MKR's Janey and Maddie launch major career move: 'Gap in the market'
EXCLUSIVE: The Kitchen Queens spill on their exciting new venture.
The 2024 cast of My Kitchen Rules has been quite busy since the show wrapped up in November. Rob and Liam Watt have hosted a BBQ event, Hannah Campbell has signed with a talent agency, and winners Simone Prest and Viviana Barile held a pop-up restaurant in Sydney.
Janey Willox and Maddie Devereux have also recently shared some exciting news on social media and announced the launch of their new catering business Kitchen Queens. The mother-daughter duo describe Kitchen Queens as a “premier destination for tailored culinary experiences and seamless event curation”.

Janey and Maddie tease big plans in 2025
Janey and Maddie, who previously worked in recruitment, tell Yahoo Lifestyle that they decided to pursue their love of food full-time after being inspired by their experience on MKR.
“We are deeply passionate about bringing people together through the joy of food and meeting the demands for high-quality catering options,” they share. “Recognising a gap in the market, we set out in a career to provide organic, flavourful, wholesome meals perfect for both mid-week dinners and larger celebrations, including family gatherings, birthdays, weddings, and corporate events.
“We understand that while many people want to enjoy delicious, nourishing meals, busy schedules and time constraints can make it difficult. Our goal is to offer a convenient solution that makes eating well easy and enjoyable.”
They add that they’re “excited” to cater to both high-end events and relaxed mid-week meals, and already have plans on expanding the business.
“Our passion extends beyond the kitchen! We’re also working to introduce a fun and creative range of merchandise in 2025,” they tease.

Their followers have since taken to social media to share their excitement and send congratulatory messages, with one person writing: “What an amazing concept! Congratulations guys this is really so so good!”
