Yahoo Lifestyle Mikey Madison Glistens in Gold Bottega Veneta Dress for Golden Globes 2025 Red Carpet
Gold dresses at the Golden Globes are a tradition, and Mikey Madison put forth a new entry Sunday night in a Bottega Veneta gown. The “Anora” star wore a glistening enameled sequin dress at the Golden Globes 2025 red carpet.
The gown, consisting of light-reflecting scale-like sequins, is one of Bottega Veneta creative director Matthieu Blazy‘s last custom designs for the Italian fashion house before he heads to Chanel as its new creative director. (Blazy will be succeeded by former Carven creative director Louise Trotter.)

Styled by Jamie Mizrahi, Madison paired the gown with glimmering diamond earrings and a matching ring from Tiffany & Co. Beauty-wise, she wore the look with winged eyeliner and a nude lip.
Sunday night marked the first Golden Globes for Madison, who was nominated for her breakout performance in “Anora,” for Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy. “I’m constantly pinching myself thinking, ‘Is this real?'” Madison said on the red carpet before the show.
Madison recently reflected on her role in “Anora” with WWD, saying, “I had never had the opportunity to completely transform in this way before. I had never had a director see me in this way [like Sean Baker], to give me this opportunity to play a character unlike any character I’ve ever played. And so I certainly put quite a bit of pressure on myself to really buckle down and do the work. I dedicated all my time to it. But I was excited about everything that Ani is. I was excited to research her work. I was excited to create her personal life and her backstory, her morals, who she is as a person and learn Russian and have this different dialect, all of it new to me. I saw it as a challenge and a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.”
With her press tour behind “Anora,” Madison became a breakout fashion star of 2024. She wore Chanel when the film took home the Palme d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival in May, and she went viral with her dogwalking outfits — specifically a velvet Mugler gown she paired with gold high-heel sandals after appearing on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”Over the past year, Madison has also opted for looks by Miu Miu, Schiaparelli, Saint Laurent, Prada and Proenza Schouler.
“Anora” was up for several awards at the Golden Globes 2025, including Best Screenplay – Motion Picture, Best Director – Motion Picture, Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role in any Motion Picture (Yura Borisov), and Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy.
