The Sussexes' Friend Divulges Rare Detail About Princess Lilibet
A friend of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle has shared a rare tidbit of information regarding the couple's 3-year-old daughter, Princess Lilibet.
Chef Adrian Lipscombe, who shared that she recently sat down for a meal with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, took to Instagram this week to fiercely defend Meghan against harsh critics of her new Netflix show cooking show. But while sharing her experience with the Suits alum, she also revealed a sweet detail about Princess Lilibet's personality.

According to Lipscombe, a mother of four, she said that she and Markle bonded over both of their daughters' love for princesses.
"We talked about our families (mostly about our daughters being in their princess phase and the movies they love) and, of course, about food," Lipscombe revealed.
Ironically, Lilibet actually is a princess in real life, and as a daughter to Prince Harry and granddaughter to King Charles III, she is seventh in line to the British throne.
In addition to Lilibet, Harry, 40, and Meghan, 43, are also parents to Prince Archie, their first-born child who turned 5 in May 2024.
While sharing more about her meeting with Meghan, Lipscombe wrote, "Let me tell you, she and her well-known significant other are some of the most down-to-earth people I’ve ever met."
"She didn’t rush the conversation, even though I was taking up her time. She was gracious, engaged, and kind."
Lipscombe's Instagram post, which featured a selfie of her and the former actress, was in response to a critical review of Meghan's new show, With Love, Meghan. The article, posted to Eater, is titled, "I'm Already Bored by Meghan Markle's New Netflix Cooking Series."
"How are you going to criticize someone or judge a TV show before it has even aired?" Lipscombe wrote in her post. "@eater, there was a time we looked to you for thoughtful reporting, a pulse on food trends, and some real insight into the food world. But now? This feels like a step down."
"What frustrates me most about this piece is how easily it falls in line with the tabloid noise surrounding her," Lipscombe continued. "Instead of offering a professional critique, interviewing her, or asking thoughtful questions, you’ve chosen to sensationalize for clicks. That’s not the journalism or standard many of us want from you."
"I really hope you’ll consider retracting this piece and, more importantly, taking a moment to reflect on the impact of this type of writing," Lipscombe added at the end of her post. "Take the time to get to know the people you’re covering, their intentions, and the context behind their projects. The food world deserves better. Meghan deserves better. And frankly, we all do."
