Kate Beckinsale saw rumors circulating that she shared a smooch with a divisive subject at the Golden Globes after-party on Sunday—and she's finally speaking out.
On Tuesday, a rep for the 51-year-old actress addressed the viral claims that she was spotted kissing comedian Matt Rife over the weekend at a Golden Globes after-party.

Fans likely may remember that Beckinsale and Rife briefly dated in 2017, shortly after her then-husband, Len Wiseman, filed for divorce after 12 years of marriage.
Fast forward nearly eight years, and both Beckinsale and Rife were invited to Netflix’s after-party at Spago Beverly Hills on Sunday. The former couple's run-in was later described as "affectionate" by a source who tipped off Page Six with details inside the alleged "makeout session."
"They were kissing and being affectionate with one another," the original Jan. 6 report suggested.
But according to Beckinsale, that's not what happened.
"It is incorrect that they were kissing," a spokesperson for the actress told People on Tuesday. "They are friendly exes who were having a fun time speaking," the rep added.
Since dating Rife, Beckinsale has been linked to British comedian Jack Whitehall, Saturday Night Live alum Pete Davidson and Canadian rapper Goody Grace. She was previously tied to Michael Sheen, with whom she welcomed a daughter–Lily–before they split in 2003.
The 29-year-old comedian—who ignited controversy with comments made during his Netflix comedy special—on the other hand, has never married nor welcomed any children. He was most recently dating Jessica Lord, though the two broke up sometime last fall.
