MasterChef Australia fans hysterical over rude detail in episode: 'Should be censored'
Hugh Allen's pressure test was a nail-biter, but some viewers found something to lighten the intensity.
MasterChef Australia fans have had plenty to say this season - and, sadly, not all of it has been positive. From Curtis Stone's 'tude to the way Andy Allen's mum was treated as guest judge to Pezza's wife jokes and much more, viewers have taken to social media during each episode to share their unfiltered thoughts.
However, in a more lighthearted turn of events, MasterChef fans were having a field day on Tuesday night after an intense pressure test set by Hugh Allen. Pezza, Sav and Alex were given the daunting task of re-creating Hugh's incredibly complex Banksia Pod dessert.
The impressive delicacy consisted of many different elements and required close attention to be paid to the recipe. In a nail-biting cook-off, the three black aprons did their best to make Hugh proud and avoid being kicked to the curb.

Praise for Pezza
Although Pezza (real name, Josh Perry) has copped some backlash in recent weeks, fans couldn't help but be impressed by how well the Tassie butcher rose to the occasion.
"Wow Pezzas pod looks great," one fan said on Reddit.
"All things considered, if Pezza goes home for this dish he can be proud as f**k for it, his best cook this season given his skill level," another added in a weird, backhanded compliment.
"Say what you will about Pezza but he seems to be absolutely smashing all these technical elements today," echoed a third.
The problem with Pezza's plating
However, not everyone was as "flushed" with pride for old Pez as one person took to Instagram to ask, "Am I the only who thinks the branch looks like a turd?!!"
As it turns out, no sir, you are not.
It seems plenty of viewers made the comparison between Pezza's branch element of the banksia pod and something you'd be fined for leaving on the sidewalk during a walk with your dog.
"That 'stick' should be censored on national TV," one Redditor wrote.
Another fan was not as subtle writing, "That is an actual turd. Pezza is literally polishing a turd."
"I know I was eating my dinner", someone replied. "Looked up, saw that and nearly choked 🤣🤣🤣🤣"
"His other elements look rather good and then there is literally little dog turd 😂 I can't 😂," added another.
"Like, amazing likeness to Mr Hanky the Christmas Poo," someone else noted.

Over on X, one fan wondered how the judges were able to keep a straight face when presented with Pezza's creation, while another still suggested it looked more like a sausage (we're not sure if they meant an actual sausage or if that was a euphemism for something else).
How do they keep a straight face when being presented with Pezza’s poo on a plate🫠 #MasterChefAU

That stem of Pezza’s looks more like a sausage than a stem. #MasterChefAU pic.twitter.com/DHY0PN1Trh

A round of applause for Pezza
Jokes aside, viewers shared their happiness that Pez made it through the pressure test and praised him for how well he had handled the challenge.
"He’s come such a long way. Well done Pezza," a fan said on Facebook.
