The Project viewers stunned over Steve Price's 90-year-old mum: 'Looks younger than you'

The Project's Steve Price became emotional on the show on Monday night while celebrating his 70th birthday with his co-hosts, with his 90-year-old mum watching on proudly. While it was Steve's birthday, it was the presenter's mum, Margo, who stunned those in the studio and on social media thanks to her youthful looks.

After a sweet montage of Steve's time on the show over the last 15 years, which left the presenter teary-eyed, host Sarah Harris said to him, "Pricey, birthday boy! Your platinum jubilee!"

He responded, "I want to say one serious thing about it – I've been here 15 years, and working with the young people on The Project, particularly behind the scenes, but also you three, and all of the ones that have come before you... But it makes me feel young, so I don't feel 70 at all, I feel about 55."

Sarah added, "Your beautiful mum, Margo, is in our studio audience tonight..."

"Ninety years young," Steve said of his mum, with Waleed Aly adding, "I think we speak for the entire nation, Pricey, when we say, she looks younger than you!"

Margo said of her son, "He's a very generous person, different to what you see here on camera."

"So he wasn't grumpy as a toddler?" Sarah jokingly asked.

"No, no, always been wonderful," Margo added with a smile.

Many viewers on social media were left shocked by how good Margo (and Steve) looks, with one user writing, "I’m still getting over how AMAZING Steve’s mum looks!!! 😮🔥."

"Holy Moly! 1st of all Happy Happy Birthday Steve Price," one person said. "And you are right, you may only feel 55, because that's all you look. And your Mum! She only looks in her early 70s. Some seriously good genes in your family! Hope you had a wonderful celebration."
