MAFS UK dubbed 'worse than Australia' after outrageous comment: 'Inappropriate'
Many viewers argued that the scene ‘shouldn’t have been aired on TV’.
After years of bringing the biggest drama and most explosive storylines, it looks like Married At First Sight Australia has finally been eclipsed by the UK version of the social experiment. A scene from a recent episode of the British reality show has gone viral on TikTok, with many dubbing it “unacceptable” and “worse” than anything ever featured on the Aussie edition.
The clip, which was taken from the reunion episode, features former couple Amy and Luke sitting on the couch together detailing where their relationship went wrong. Amy then recites the very graphic and explicit remark Luke had written in a note for her after they split at the Final Vows.
“It said, ‘[I have] no regrets, actually, just one – I wish I had got down on my knees when you were cooking in the kitchen and terrorised your bum hole,” Amy recalls to the relationship experts.

Mel Schilling, who appears on both the Australian and UK versions, is left speechless with her head in her hands as the rest of the cast gasps and breaks out into laughter.
Fellow expert Charlene Douglas then tries to diffuse the situation, saying that she understands each relationship has their own “code of conversation” and she wasn’t judging them if that was something that had previously happened while they were ‘married’.
“No, it didn’t. No, it did not,” Amy asserts, while Luke begins to suggest they had done something similar before.
“You’ve not done that to me! He’s never done anything like that to me,” she continues, to which he replies, “Not to your bum hole”.
Former MAFS star weighs in: 'Inappropriate'
Clips of the wild moment have since gone viral worldwide, with many former MAFS stars weighing in. 2024 bride Eden Harper, who also received a bizarre letter from her partner Jayden Eynaud while filming her season of the reality show, tells Yahoo Lifestyle that she thinks Luke’s comment was “completely inappropriate”.
“I guess some couples have some weird fetishes but imagine writing that after they broke up thinking it would win her back,” she says. “If you ever get a messed up letter on MAFS, that’s your sign to leave. Glad she knew that before I did.”
Fans have also taken to the comments to share their thoughts and argued that the remark “shouldn’t have been aired on TV”.
“I still can't believe he wrote that down on paper, then worse read it back and still thought yes that's the line that will win her back,” one person wrote, while another added, “I’m so confused as to why he thought this appropriate to say!”.
Meanwhile, most people described the moment as “comedy gold” and “the funniest scene in MAFS history”.
“Best part of MAFS ever! I genuinely think Luke is hilarious,” a fan shared, followed by someone else who said, “I would have been on the floor laughing so hard”.

“Literally the best line of the series I haven’t stopped laughing yet,” one viewer replied.
