MAFS' Tahnee reveals biggest misconception about her: 'Not true'

EXCLUSIVE: Tahnee spills on why she's not entirely happy with her 'edit'.

She was a fan favourite bride on this year’s season of Married At First Sight and was one of the few participants who actually found love with their partner, but Tahnee Cook says there’s one big reason why she’s not one hundred per cent happy with the way she was portrayed on TV.

During an appearance at Australian Fashion Week on Wednesday, the 27-year-old told Yahoo Lifestyle she believes the biggest misconception about her from viewers is that she didn’t speak up as much as she did during the experiment.

“Conveniently all the times I did have something to say wasn't used,” she shared, adding with a laugh, “Which is fine, I think it makes me look like an unproblematic queen.

“But there were some times that I was like, ‘Nah, not on’, especially with a couple of moments with the boys when I really disagreed with their actions.”

Tahnee added that her on-screen ‘husband’ Ollie Skelton would join her when speaking up about certain incidents, but none of it was shown.

“I feel like people think we just sit there and don't share our opinion, but it's not true,” she said.

“But overall I think it was a pretty clear indication of us just not wanting to be involved in the drama and just really not about it.”

Moving forward

Speaking about her future plans after MAFS, the PR manager admitted she’s “just enjoying life” now that the show’s finished airing on TV.

“Me and Ollie are just really enjoying Sydney and enjoying what life is like together,” she shared. “We haven't really kind of set anything in stone.

“We're exploring a couple of fun things and just kind of seeing what our audience wants to see as well. I always find it interesting seeing what people want to see from us. But yeah, we'll see. Hopefully something in fashion. I love beauty, so I'm sure I'll be in that space.”
