MAFS' Nasser's bizarre rant after being kicked out of Fashion Week

EXCLUSIVE: The former reality star was spotted being told to leave the event on Tuesday night.

Married At First Sight's Nasser Sultan has officially been banned from Afterpay Australian Fashion Week this year after being kicked out of two shows across Monday and Tuesday.

The 54-year-old former reality TV star was spotted attempting to regain entry into Carriageworks on Tuesday night for the final show of the day after being asked to leave just a few hours earlier.

An onlooker tells Yahoo Lifestyle: “The main security on the door didn't allow Nasser in, so he went up to a second security guard instead. He was shouting ‘I'm a VIP’ and even got his phone out to show the security his Instagram profile. The guy had no idea who Nasser was.”

After failing to regain entry, Nasser then went on a bizarre rant to a journalist outside in a video obtained by Yahoo Lifestyle.

“I got here, went straight to the VIP line and this guy comes up to me and says, ‘Mate, you’re not supposed to be here. You've been told not to be here, so go away’,” he detailed.

“I said, 'Excuse me, I'm supposed to be here, I'm Australia's favourite celebrity, obviously you haven't been briefed who I am’. Meanwhile, all the photographers were taking photos of me, and that sort of took [attention] away from the models and everyone here.

“Without me, Fashion Week shouldn't even happen. I’m Mr Fashion. You don't become Australia's favourite celebrity for nothing.”

Nasser then proceeded to mock the runway models wearing the designer's latest collections, saying: “Ugh, the fashion. Half of these shows it looks like they’ve found their stuff in the bloody bin that you see on the streets.

“Some of these people, really, you call that fashion? Come on.”

When asked about his own sense of fashion, the season five MAFS groom explained that he was wearing a second-hand outfit he found in an op shop with a Kmart T-shirt and a pair of Puma trainers.

Nasser has been accused of ‘gate crashing’ a number of high-profile events in the past, including when he was reportedly refused entry onto the ARIA Awards red carpet in November.

In January he was spotted at the Australian premiere of Babylon where he was completely snubbed by the film’s star Margot Robbie.

He also crashed MAFS couple Ollie Skelton and Tahnee Cook’s homestay date during filming last year, with the season 10 groom telling Yahoo Lifestyle he had no idea who Nasser was.
