MAFS' Brent 'almost got married' to his new girlfriend in Las Vegas
It’s been less than a year since Brent Vitiello walked down the aisle on this year’s season of Married At First Sight, but it turns out he almost got married again during a recent trip to Las Vegas.
Chatting with Yahoo Lifestyle in their first interview as a couple, the 33-year-old TV star and his new girlfriend, Australian model Taylor Davey, spilled on the wild story of how they met and almost said ‘I do’.
Brent explained that the first time he ever saw Taylor was at Eros Sydney, but he didn’t talk to her or follow her on Instagram straight away because he wasn’t sure if she was single.
“A week later me and Al [Perkins] were then flying to Queensland for a club appearance and heard a girl in the airport saying, ‘It’s the guys from MAFS! It’s the guys from MAFS!’ as we walked past them,” he shared.
“It was Taylor and her sister! I then said to Al, ‘That’s the girl from Eros!’.”

Telling her side of the story, Taylor added that she had never seen MAFS before and she ran off when Brent saw her because he was “staring over like a creep”.
“My sister was then getting in trouble from security for standing [in the wrong area] waiting for me,” she continued. “Brent walked over and just said to security, ‘It’s okay guys, she’s just waiting for Taylor’.
“My sister was like, ‘He knows you, Taylor! How does he know you?’. I’d never seen him before in my life and was like, ‘Who is he?’. I had no idea.”
‘Take us to a chapel!’
Brent eventually followed Taylor on Instagram, and a few weeks later when he was in Los Angeles with his friends he saw that she was in Las Vegas.
“I looked at the boys and said I’m going to shoot my shot, it’s perfect timing,” he detailed.
“She told me Vegas was amazing and said we should head there to catch up. I then looked at the boys and said, ‘This is going to be a real love story, I can feel it. Just watch’. So we all went to Vegas… and it was a love story.”
Taylor said it was “amazing” when Brent arrived and joined her group, and it ended up being the best part of her trip.
“We almost got married in Vegas!” she admitted. “After three days together we just said to the driver, ‘Take us to a chapel!’”
“But I fell asleep before we got there!” Brent added with a laugh. “We would have really got married if I didn’t fall asleep.”
‘A bit shocked’
Since the holiday in May, the couple has been inseparable and spent almost every day together.
“I ruined her hot girl summer after one week!” Brent continued. “Me and Al even cut our Vegas trip short to fly to San Francisco so I could spend more time with Taylor after she’d carried on travelling with her friends.”
“My family all watched MAFS and he was their favourite!” Taylor confessed. “They were all a bit shocked when I told them. They loved him on the show and now they love him even more!”
Brent was paired with Tamara Djordjevic on this year’s season of MAFS and made it all the way to the end before calling it quits at Final Vows.
He was then linked to his co-star Ella Ding after filming wrapped, however, it was confirmed in June that they had mutually agreed to simply remain as friends.
