MAFS' Ben breaks silence after cheating scandal leaks: 'Disappointing'
EXCLUSIVE: Ben has shared his thoughts on Ellie and Jono's rumoured romance.
Married At First Sight’s Ben Walters has spoken out after photos emerged suggesting that his on-screen ‘wife’ Ellie Dix is now in a relationship with their co-star Jono McCullough.
Yahoo Lifestyle published images on Wednesday afternoon of Ellie and Jono, who is still currently ‘married’ to Lauren Dunn on the reality show, getting cosy at Ellie’s work Christmas party in December.
It’s believed that the couple began their ‘affair’ during the experiment - after Ellie and Ben ended their relationship at a future commitment ceremony - and announced they were together at the reunion.
Speaking exclusively to Yahoo Lifestyle about Ellie and Jono’s romance, Ben reveals he only officially found out they were together at the reunion but was always suspicious of their connection during filming.
“I saw the way they looked at each other from the start and I suspected something fishy was going on,” he shares.

Ben adds that although he feels like Ellie “emotionally cheated” on him, he’s happy that she and Jono found love in the experiment.
“I honestly wish them well as they seem happy together,” he remarks. “We text sometimes still. Pretty disappointing that they decided to ruin the storyline for MAFS fans.”
Ellie and Jono 'reprimanded' by Nine after scandal leaks
An insider tells Yahoo Lifestyle that Ellie and Jono were “reprimanded” by Channel Nine and the show’s production company Endemol Shine Australia on Wednesday afternoon after Yahoo Lifestyle published photos of the pair at her Christmas party.
A source connected to the show tells us that everybody is now in “damage control” and the pair have been “withdrawn from all media opportunities” for the foreseeable future.
Ellie and Jono are yet to comment publicly about their rumoured relationship, however, Ellie spoke about her connection with her groom Ben Walters during an interview with Yahoo Lifestyle last week and revealed if she ever had eyes for anyone else in the experiment.
“No, to be honest, my eyes were just on Ben,” she said. “And I'm just like, so grateful to have such a great match. We got along like a house on fire, so my eyes were not straying.”
