The Voice Australia has wrapped up its Battle Rounds, with 28 contestants now progressing to the Knockouts as they continue to fight for the grand prize. However, the singing competition took a very unexpected turn on Sunday night as Leann Rimes shocked her fellow coaches by walking off stage as she was tasked with choosing between singers Brad Butcher and Tori Darke.
After Tori and Brad performed a beautiful country rendition of the Bryan Adams hit 'Please Forgive Me', Leann looked visibly troubled as she was asked to decide who to take through to the knockout round. As Sonia and the singers waited on stage, Leann said 'I don't like this' before suddenly getting up and walking off.

After a quick backstage chat with a producer, Leann returned to the set and said that she couldn't decide between Tori and Brad and asked them if they would consider moving forward as a duo.
"You don't have to", Leann said of the huge request. "Obviously this is completely your choice, but if you don't choose to go through as a duo obviously I'll have to make a choice and send one of you home today."
As everyone looked on in shock and anticipation, Sonia told Brad and Tori to take a minute to decide what they wanted to do. After a quick chat, they agreed to progress together to the Knockout rounds, much to Leann's joy.
