The Block star in crisis after copping 'villain' edit: 'Completely spiralled'
EXCLUSIVE: Kylie’s friends have revealed how she is coping following her controversial portrayal.
She’s polarised fans with her negative attitude and “unfair” treatment of her co-stars throughout this year’s season of The Block, but those closest to Kylie insist that she’s nothing like her on-screen portrayal. Friends of the 37-year-old hairdresser and mother-of-four have jumped to her defence following her controversial ‘edit’, telling Yahoo Lifestyle that they “don’t even recognise” the person on screen.
“We can see Kylie is being silly and a little overdramatic but somehow it comes off to the viewer like she's ‘bullying’ people and being ‘ungrateful’,” one friend shares. “Kylie is a very giving person and I think she was reading into who she thought the producers wanted her to be. That can be quite dangerous when you then trust someone else to tell your story.”

According to her friends, Kylie has “completely spiralled” after watching how she behaved on The Block and has even started to believe her ‘edit’.
“She thinks she's a monster. It’s like the producers took her sense of humour and twisted it into something really nasty,” a close friend reveals. “Very early into the season airing on TV she made a decision not to talk to anyone publicly because she felt that if she defended herself over everything that has been misconstrued she would be there all day and all night.
“I think Kylie would like viewers to know you are only seeing a version of her personality.”
Are Kylie and Brad still together?
According to Woman’s Day, multiple sources have confirmed that Brad has moved out of their family home in Cairns, Queensland since they finished filming The Block and the parents of four are taking a break from their relationship.
“They have been going through a tough time and what their relationship status will be when the show ends is undetermined,” an insider told the publication. “They don’t feel comfortable talking about anything that goes down yet because they are dealing with the aftermath.”
Daily Mail has also reported that the couple will make an abrupt exit from the competition at the end of week 12, and it's unconfirmed if they will make an appearance at the upcoming auction.

Meanwhile, an insider tells Yahoo Lifestyle that Kylie has heavily relied on Brad’s support in recent weeks as she deals with the fallout from her ‘edit’.
“At first Kylie was laughing at the silliness of some of her antics on the show but now she has been questioning everything about herself and, surprisingly, Brad of all people has been the one to comfort her,” they share.
“The relationship was in tatters when they left The Block but this whole experience of watching it back and only having each other as a reference point has actually been quite healing. No one really knows what happened on Phillip Island unless you were there and while many friends thought reliving some of the painful parts of their struggles would split them further apart, it has done the opposite.”
