Fans react to Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster’s steamy show of affection

A week after Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster were first pictured holding hands, the new couple have now been caught on video engaging in a passionate kiss. The pair have been rumoured to be together for months after divorcing their partners.

Hugh and Sutton, who have known each other for 20 years and appeared in The Music Man together on Broadway in recent years, are seen kissing in two videos, one that sees them beside a car and another inside it. Given the videos very clearly show the steamy display of affection, some fans are convinced they're staged.

On social media, fans were quick to share their thoughts, with one user writing, "Why is all of this giving staged?"

"100 per cent, I can smell BS from 10 miles away," another responded.

"For some reason, this feels illegal to see," a third joked.

"This is so performative," someone else said.

How long have Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster been dating?

Rumours first started swirling about the talented duo in the second half of 2024, with a source telling Page Six that Hugh and Sutton were "in love" and inseparable but had been careful to stay out of the public eye.

The source added that the couple were sneaking around to avoid being caught in public.

The speculation intensified in October 2024 after Deborra-Lee Furness, Hugh's ex-wife, liked a post uploaded by Tasha Lustig, in which the UK pop culture reporter spoke about the rumoured relationship between Hugh and Sutton and said that Furness had allegedly been "blindsided".

Deborra-Lee's friend British media personality Amanda de Cadenet responded by writing, "You are on point with this one. My beloved friend Deb is about to have her glow up any moment fyi!”

The chemistry between Hugh and Sutton has always been strong, with the actors gushing about each other in interviews and Sutton sharing plenty of snaps of her and the Aussie star on her Instagram over the years of being friends and colleagues.

Sutton told Vogue in 2022 what it was like to work with Hugh, saying, "He has an impeccable reputation of being the hardest-working man, incredibly kind, and generous — and all of that is true. He disarms everyone, and he doesn’t make anything about him."

She added, "He’s now become one of my best friends, which was a surprise, because you usually go into these things thinking, 'Well, I hope we get along.' But we just spent Memorial Day with our families. It’s really fun to meet new friends after 40."
