Liam Payne’s fans have been left stunned by the news of his untimely death at age 31, especially because he had posted on social media less than an hour before his passing. The former One Direction member reportedly “plunged” from the third floor of his hotel balcony in Buenos Aries on Wednesday afternoon local time.

While it's unsure when the videos were filmed, Liam shared a series of clips documenting his time in Argentina with his girlfriend Kate Cassidy. In one video he said he and his partner were “enjoying coffee and breakfast, even though it’s like 1pm”.

“Good morning everybody. Here’s a little video of me,” he said. “It’s a lovely day here in Argentina.”

“Literally we sleep in every day until at least 12, we’re such losers,” Kate joked off-camera.

The Strip That Down hitmaker also posted a clip detailing how he and Kate planned on spending the day together.

“Today, we ride!” he shared. “We’re gonna ride some horses. I think I’m gonna be playing polo again which is gonna put me out of action for about six weeks.”

Another video featured the pair smiling and posing for the camera alongside the caption: “Quality time 🥰”

“Happy I got some time away ❤️” he captioned another photo.

He also sent his well wishes to the people in Florida affected by Hurricane Milton and said he was looking forward to returning home to see his dog Nala.

“I hope everyone was ok in Milton by the way. It was a scary thing to watch from far away. I hope all the little dogs and everything made it out as well because there were quite sad stories about dogs,” he said. “Obviously we are going to go home and see our dog Nala.”

It’s understood the videos were pre-recorded and posted on the day of Liam’s death as Kate shared a TikTok two days ago flying back to Florida from South America.

Liam was in South America attending his former band member Niall Horan’s concert on October 2 alongside his girlfriend Kate. He posted a video on Snapchat saying he was attending the concert as he wanted to “square up a couple of things” with the Irish singer.

“I think we might just go and say hello,” he said, “It’s been a while since me and Niall have spoken. We’ve got a lot to talk about. And I would like to square up a couple of things with the boy. No bad vibes or anything like that. But just, um, we need to talk.”

Fans captured videos of Liam singing and dancing along to Niall’s performance from his box in Movistar Arena. He later posted selfies of himself and Niall on Snapchat alongside the caption: “Reunited ❤️.”

Liam's final Instagram post

While he was active on Snapchat on the day of his death, Liam’s final post on Instagram was shared on May 29 in tribute to Morgan Spurlock, who directed One Direction’s 2013 concert film One Direction: This Is Us.

He shared a photo of himself and his One Direction members with Morgan at the New York City premiere of the film alongside the caption: “Rest in peace Morgan Spurlock it was a pleasure working with you ❤️”
