Liam Payne fans outraged after TMZ shares photo of his body

Following his tragic death at age 31, fans of One Direction singer Liam Payne have been left outraged after TMZ shared photos of his body. Liam died in Argentina after falling from his hotel balcony.

The singer is reported to have "plunged from the third floor" on Wednesday afternoon. Police were called before the incident and found him dead.

Liam rose to fame through the boy band One Direction after the group was formed on The X-Factor in 2010 with the band going on an indefinite hiatus in 2016. Liam continued on with his solo career after the group disbanded and released one studio album.

TMZ was first to report the singer's death, leaving fans horrified after publishing images of his body.

The site shared photos, showing the singer's tattoos, writing, "TMZ obtained a photo showing Liam's body on a wooden deck at the hotel with tables and chairs nearby. We're not showing the whole body, but you can clearly see his tattoos — a clock on his left forearm, and a scorpion on his abdomen."

Fans have been outraged, with one user writing on X, "There was no need to include those pictures."

"Y’all are insane for exposing his lifeless body in this article without cause or warning," another said.

"Respect his family, friends and fans. Delete that picture," someone else added.

One Facebook, one user wrote, "Those photos are SO disrespectful. This just happened. I would bet there are friends and family that haven’t been notified. Have some class TMZ. You can report without being absolutely disgusting about it."

"I think you guys should remove those photos," another said. "That is tasteless. Have some respect for his family and for his fans."

"Man you guys want to be the first and throw up identifying marks just to prove it," a third wrote. "I hope he has a family that sues the heck out of you all."

It appears TMZ has since removed the images of the One Direction singer's body.

He is father to son Bear, who was born in 2017, from his previous relationship with singer Cheryl Cole.

The singer gave a rare update about his son Bear in August this year, after he celebrated his 31st birthday, saying, "I didn't get any dad socks yet thought. I'm going to speak to my son in a little bit which I'm really excited about. Bless him. He's getting so big now.
