Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars' Grammy performance struck a somber note during music's biggest night.

The "Die With a Smile" collaborators sang The Mamas and The Papas' song "California Dreamin'" to pay tribute to Los Angeles following the devastating wildfires during the 2025 Grammy Awards at Crypto.com Arena.

Gaga, 38, and Mars, 39, donned beige outfits and took the stage for their emotional rendition of the 1965 folk rock song. They were nominated at this year's awards show for song of the year and best pop duo/group performance for their hit "Die with a Smile."

The awards show was reimagined this year following the fires. It also kicked off with Randy Newman's "I Love L.A.," performed by Dawes, John Legend, Brad Paisley, Brittany Howard, Dawes, Sheryl Crow and St. Vincent.

Gaga also performed at the FireAid concert on Jan. 30, which was a massive fundraising effort to support those affected by the wildfires that began on Jan. 7.

"This has been a horrible, scary time," Gaga said during her set at the benefit concert, which featured a solo version of "Shallow" from A Star Is Born. "But during these times I feel like people come together and we see how much we need each other. And I want to always remember us just like this.”

She also performed a song she had written with her fiancé Michael Polansky.
