Kyle Sandilands reveals lavish gift for his 'royal' baby: 'I've got three'

Just over a week after he found out that he and his fiancée Tegan Kynaston are having a baby boy, Kyle Sandilands has revealed the extravagant gift he’s already bought for his son.

The radio icon told his co-host Jackie ‘O’ Henderson on The Kyle & Jackie O Show on Friday that he’s been assisting his partner with the interior design for the nursery.

“I've bought a few bed crowns,” he shared. “I've got three to decide from.”

Kyle explained that he wanted a bed crown because it’s something “that every royal family has”, leaving Jackie confused and admitting she doesn’t know what it is.

“It's a half-circle carved gold gilded crown that sits on the roof and curtains fall down from it to go over the baby’s crib,” he detailed.

“Oh yeah, that could like alright,” Jackie remarked, to which Kyle replied, “Better than some plastic thing that sings lullabies floating around over the baby’s face. None of that rubbish”.

Kyle and Tegan recently held a lavish gender-reveal party on a yacht where two planes flew over Sydney Harbour releasing blue smoke.

The event, which was decorated with a large amount of pink and blue balloons, also featured a four-tiered baby animal themed cake and guests dressed in the colour they predicted would represent the child’s gender.

“A little boy!” Kyle said when the gender was eventually revealed, before adding, “A well-hung boy, no doubt”.

The shock jock broke the news that he and Tegan were expecting their first child together live on his radio show back in February.

“You’ve seen me through many career ups and downs, you’ve seen me nearly get fired, nearly get cancelled, multiple times,” he told his co-host Jackie ‘O’ Henderson.

“Am I going to keep doing this job? Am I going to do something different in my life? What can I do at 50 years old that I’ve never done in my life before?”

Kyle then played an ‘audio clue’ of a baby’s heartbeat, asking Jackie what she thought it meant for the next stage of his life.

“We all know what that is,” she replied with excitement, leading Kyle to exclaim “I’m having baby, baby!” as Tegan entered the studio.

The couple, who have been together since late 2019, also shared that the baby is due in August.
