Kmart shoppers wowed by 'genius' $6 hack for in-demand product: 'Great idea!'
Shoppers are giving their Croc-inspired bags a stylish upgrade with creative accessories.
Just when you thought Kmart’s $15 Croc-inspired tote had reached peak popularity, shoppers are upping the ante by getting creative with their own accessories to personalise these trendy bags. Social media is buzzing as people share their inventive ideas for decorating their totes with everything from Croc Jibbitz to $6 phone grips. It seems these fun add-ons are quickly becoming the must-have items for fans of Kmart’s EVA bags.
Kmart shopper Jess from Victoria told Yahoo Lifestyle her EVA bag is set for a glow-up with Kmart’s charms, which closely resemble Crocs products. "I'm actually planning to buy some real Croc Jibbitz for my EVA bag and possibly check out the kids’ backpacks at Kmart, which also come with their own charms," she shared. These simple additions are helping shoppers achieve that iconic Crocs look without breaking the bank.
Queensland Kmart shopper Jodie, who bought Kmart's Croc-inspired backpacks for her kids, told Yahoo Lifestyle she chose them for their sturdiness and kid-friendly zips. The added bonus? The charms can be swapped between the backpacks and other products.

“The charms that came with them were easy to add and they don’t spin around or anything—they stay where you angle them,” she explained. While she hasn’t bought any Crocs or clogs yet, she believes the Jibbitz will fit the smaller holes of the Kmart clogs, making it simple to mix and match between products.
Kmart shoppers get creative with EVA Bag accessories
In a very active Facebook group, one shopper couldn’t contain her excitement at the idea of adding charms recently purchased tote.
"Got my bag today, now to fill it with accessories and charms to give it character!" She posted a picture of her EVA bag, already decked out with Croc Jibbitz and charms, adding a personal touch to her new tote.
The post sparked a flurry of comments, with another member sharing, ‘Oooh, I didn’t even think about that! My daughter got me a Mickey charm, and I don’t do Crocs anymore, so it has just sat there. I like these bags, so great idea, off to Kmart later then.’”
$6 hack for adding fun accessories
One TikToker took the customisation game to the next level, revealing her clever hack of using $6 Kmart phone grips to decorate her bag, showing off how the fun and colourful grips slide right through the bag’s holes, much like Croc Jibbitz, adding a fun and colourful touch to her bag’s unique look.
However, not everyone is 'charmed' by the idea. Some shoppers are less than thrilled with the trend, expressing their disdain in no uncertain terms.
"OMG, these are so cringe. Won't be jumping on this little craze," one critic remarked, while another echoed the sentiment with, "Nor will I, I hate Crocs as well, they're so ugly."
Do Croc Jibbitz fit the EVA tote?
That’s the big question shoppers are asking about using Jibbitz with Kmart’s bags and whether, in turn, Kmart charms can be swapped onto Crocs.
One shopper shared their experience: "We managed to get [the backpack charms] to fit in the smaller Crocs holes, but it took a bit of work. Getting them out again was interesting—but doable!"

Another shopper confirmed that while Croc Jibbitz do fit the EVA tote, "the bag’s holes are a bit too big, so they spin around. I put some Blu-Tack on the inside, and it works fine."
For those looking for more options, another shopper suggested, "Kmart has jelly charm packs with bracelets and other items you could use."
