With Halloween done and dusted and Christmas just over six weeks away, many people have begun buying gifts and decorating for the holiday season. Christmas trees are also being set up in living rooms across the country, while others are turning to social media for inspiration on how to decorate.

One woman shared a post in a popular Facebook group this week asking shoppers if they would recommend buying Kmart’s 47 pack of 6cm novelty baubles for $10. The ornaments are red, white and striped and come with strings attached to make it easy to decorate the tree.

The post was quickly flooded with comments from people who had used the novelty baubles to decorate their trees, which they had also purchased from Kmart.

“Bought them all today. So in love haha so cute too. Worth the buy,” one person commented.

“I got the small ones too and attached two big and one small to make a bunch,” another added, while a third said, “I think the bigger baubles are more of a statement”.

“I saw a frosted tree today at Target that used them, looked great,” someone else remarked.

Others also shared how they displayed the baubles in other spots around the house, including along the staircase.

“I used them to make a wreath,” a shopper shared, followed by a different user who said, “I have them on my coffee table as decorations and look lovely”.

The original poster eventually took to the comments to thank everyone for sharing photos of their decorations, adding: “I’m feeling very inspired and went bauble crazy.”

As Christmas trees are being set up, gifts are also being purchased and wrapped to place underneath. Kmart recently began selling a $2 wrapping paper cutter which makes wrapping Christmas gifts a breeze in just a few easy steps.

First, you insert the roll of wrapping paper inside the cutter and pull the paper through the opening. After you’ve measured the paper to get your desired length, slide the paper down until it inserts inside the blade slot. Finally, slide the wrapping paper cutter away from you and the job is done in one clean swoop.

Although shoppers have praised the item’s low cost, some people have found that the task isn’t as straightforward as it might seem. One woman left a 3-star review on Kmart’s website, writing: “Seems a bit trickier to use than I thought!”

Another shopper gave the item 4 stars and said: “Great little tool for the price. The blade is a little flimsy so you’ve gotta get the angle just right but when you do it cuts perfectly.”

However, different branded versions of the stationary gadget have gone viral on TikTok with social media users calling it a “must-have” item this Christmas.
