King Charles no longer speaking to 'frightened' Prince Harry: 'Calls go unanswered'

"He has tried to reach out about the King's health, but those calls go unanswered too," an insider close to Harry revealed.

Prince Harry is reportedly so desperate to protect his wife, Meghan Markle, and their two children that it has worsened his relationship with his father, King Charles. This comes after the Duke of Sussex was unable to see his father during his last visit in May to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games.

At the time, a spokesperson for Harry said this was due to the King's "full schedule". However, sources close to Harry have revealed there's a deeper issue.

According to People, Harry has wanted to discuss his ongoing security battle, which he has been fighting in court for over four years. The Duke believes his father has the power to reinstate his security; however, a palace source has previously told the magazine that this idea is "wholly incorrect."

Charles and Harry's last meeting was in February when the Duke rushed to the UK following the announcement his father was battling cancer.

Insiders have revealed that the King is now not even taking his son's calls or responding to his letters.

"He gets 'unavailable right now'," a friend of Harry says. "His calls go unanswered. He has tried to reach out about the King's health, but those calls go unanswered too."

The Duke is apparently deeply concerned about the safety of his family and has continuously asked his father for help.

"Harry is frightened and feels the only person who can do anything about it is his father," a royal source told People, while another added, "Harry is determined to protect his own family at all costs."

Harry has previously voiced his concerns in the ITV documentary Tabloids on Trial, saying, "All it takes is one lone actor," revealing this is why he won't bring his family to the UK.

He has also offered to personally pay for security, but this was rejected by the court.

Safety was also one of the main reasons Harry and Meghan decided to leave the UK in the first place, due to the negative press and the royals' lack of support.

Before the late Queen Elizabeth II died in 2022, she deemed it "imperative" that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex still have security despite stepping down as senior members of the royal family.

"The Queen made it clear that effective security was necessary due to the threats against them, but somewhere along the line there was interference," a royal insider claims.
