Yahoo Lifestyle Kelly Rutherford Reunites With Son in First Public Appearance in 10 Years
Kelly Rutherford turned Paris Fashion Week into a family affair.
The Gossip Girl alum showed up to a Christian Dior fashion show in Paris on Monday, Jan. 27, bringing her son, Hermès Gustaf Daniel Giersch, and marking the pair's first public appearance together in 10 years.
The mother-son fashion week appearance comes after Rutherford was involved in a six-year-long custody battle with her ex-husband, Daniel Giersch, who, in addition to Hermès, 18, is the father of Rutherford's daughter, Helena Grace Rutherford Giersch, 15.
While hitting the red carpet together on Monday, Rutherford, 56, sported a sleek black dress, while her son kept things classic with a dark suit and white button up. The same day, the duo also attended a Rahul Mishra show, where Rutherford slipped into a stylish floral gown.
Rutherford has been divorced from Hèrmes' father for over 15 years, after initially filing when she was three months pregnant with Helena.
The Melrose Place alum and her ex then became embroiled in an extensive custody battle, ultimately ending with Giersch getting full custody of their two kids in 2015.
A judge then ordered the kids to live with their father in Monaco full time, since Giersch, a Germany native, could not come to the U.S. after his visa was revoked.
Since then, Rutherford has made Monaco her permanent home to be closer to her kids.
