Yahoo Lifestyle Kelly Ripa Fans Overwhelmed by the 'Strong Resemblance' Between Extended Family
Apparently talent runs in Kelly Ripa's family!
The Live! host recently gave fans a rare glimpse at one of her extended family members while posting a video of her nephew Sergio Ripa to promote his band, King Falcon.
In the Instagram video posted on Monday, Jan. 27, Kelly, 53, showed a clip of Sergio shredding the guitar while he and his bandmates performed on stage in New York City.
Fans immediately noticed that Sergio bears some resemblance to his famous aunt, as he also has long golden locks. But one of Kelly's followers also claimed they saw a "strong family resemblance" between Sergio and Kelly's youngest son, Joaquin, 21.
Joaquin is one of three kids Kelly shares with longtime husband Mark Consuelos. They are also parents to older son Michael, 27, and daughter Lola, 23.
But it's not just good looks that seem to run in Kelly's family genes, as one fan also said talent "runs deep" in the Ripa family.
"Gooo Sergio. So proud of him. He’s a true talent that RIPA TALENT BLOOD RUNS DEEP ❤️" one commenter gushed.
"Can’t wait for a cousin collab 😍" someone else added.
"Proud auntie alert!" the TV personality wrote in the caption of her post, while insisting that her nephew "shredded expectations" during his performance. She also implored her followers to check out King Falcon for themselves, while sharing a list of the the band's tour dates throughout the next few months.
