Kate Ritchie's Sunrise interview hijacked by radio co-hosts: 'Mayhem'
Nat Barr and Matt Shirvington were in stitches throughout the chaotic live cross.
Radio stars Ryan ‘Fitzy’ Fitzgerald and Michael ‘Wippa’ Wipfli hilariously gate-crashed their co-host Kate Ritchie’s appearance on Sunrise on Friday morning.
The former Home and Away actress joined the breakfast show to chat about Nova 96.9’s recent on-air competition where she gave away her very own car.
Listeners were simply asked to ‘Imprez-her’ to win her Subaru Impreza, which came stocked with plenty of prizes including a trip to Hamilton Island, $5000 cash, concert tickets and free fuel for a year.
As Kate spoke to Sunrise hosts Nat Barr and Matt Shirvington about the competition’s “very, very worthy winner”, mum-of-two Brook who had never owned a car before or been on a holiday, her co-hosts Fitzy and Wippa popped up in the background.

The pair could be seen walking around the car picking up various wrapped boxes and opening the boot, which left Nat and Matt in stitches.
“Do you know what they’re doing?” Kate said. “They’re stealing all the prizes that the car is filled with!
“Are they upstaging me again?”
'Mayhem'
The live TV interview descended into chaos when Wippa walked right behind Kate and laid his entire body on the front of the vehicle.
“Wippa, get off the bonnet! You’re gonna dent it!” Matt exclaimed while Nat asked, “Is he draping himself across it?”
“Yeah, he’s been in that position before!” Matt remarked, leaving his co-host stunned.
“Okay! Wrapping this up!” she laughed.
“It was the time he got pulled over,” he explained. “And he said, ‘Hands on the bonnet, spread ‘em’.”
