Karl Stefanovic and his wife Jasmine had a rough start to the festive holiday season, after their four-year-old daughter Harper disappeared, sparking a desperate search in Noosa.

Police were called to the Channel Nine star's Queensland home just after 4pm, with a police helicopter also dispatched to search for the missing child. Karl, Jasmine, and Karl's eldest daughter Ava were seen desperately searching the beach and bushland nearby.

Thankfully little Harper was found safe and sound after an hour-long search, curled up asleep under a chair at home.

Karl told The Daily Telegraph that the family "feared the absolute worst because no one could find her".

“I called the police because she couldn’t be found inside or around the house and our priority is her safety," he said.

Upon finding his daughter, Karl said Harper was,“curled up asleep underneath a chair where no one could possibly have hidden", thanking the Noosa Heads police and local community for their efforts in helping locate Harper.

Karl also joked he had to tell Harper that her disappearance wouldn't affect Santa visiting her this Christmas. "But somehow I think he knows," Karl joked.

Harper is the first child for Karl and Jasmine, and was born in 2020. The couple recently celebrated their six-year wedding anniversary.
