Josh Hall and Christina Haack butt heads in “The Flip Off” clip filmed before divorce: 'Pissing me off already'

Christina Haack and Josh Hall are sharing the screen one more time — but not for very long.

Half a year after the HGTV star and her estranged husband announced their split, fans are getting a peek at the final days of their marriage. In a new teaser for The Flip Off, Haack and Hall endure a tense drive as they gear up to face off against her ex-husband, Tarek El Moussa and his wife, Heather Rae El Moussa in their new HGTV competition show.

The clip sees Hall in the driver's seat, telling his then-wife, "This is a competition. We gotta pull out all the stops. Whatever it takes to win, I’ll do it. Halls rule!”

When his words are met by silence, Hall complains, “You’re supposed to say it with me, or repeat it, or something that shows that you’re with me."

When his wife still remained silent, he continued. "Remember, you’re a Hall now," said Hall, referencing her prior relationship with El Moussa. "Don’t get confused in this competition about what your last name is."

As Haack turned away to look out the window, he added, "You’re rude.”

To this, Haack finally responded, saying simply, "I don’t over talk."

"Yeah, the s--- you say and I’m just like, 'I wish you’d shut up already,'” Hall replied, earning a heavy sign from Haack. "My wife’s pissing me off already."

Ignoring his comment, Haack asked, "Are we there yet?"

The preview then cuts to a new scene, between Haack and El Moussa, who immediately notes that she looks upset. "I know that look. What's going on?"

Haack replies with a bombshell, revealing, "Josh and I officially split up."

Hall filed for divorce from Haack in July 2024, after nearly three years of marriage, citing irreconcilable differences. Haack then filed her own paperwork, a lawsuit accusing her estranged husband of taking funds from her account.

Prior to the split, the Halls, who shared the screen on Flip or Flop and Christina on the Coast, announced that they would join forces for the "spicy" new HGTV series The Flip Off, which sees Haack reunite with ex-husband El Moussa, to compete — alongside their new spouses — to flip homes. Last month, HGTV confirmed that Hall would not participate in the entire six-episode series and that by the end of the two hour premiere, Haack would announce her plan to continue the competition solo.

Fittingly, the latest promo photos for the show see Haack standing solo in a face-off against the El Moussa's, where prior images saw her side-by-side with Hall.

Following her split from Hall, Haack didn't mince words when it came to reflecting on the end of their marriage. She wrote on social media that Hall was an "insecure man with a large ego" and told ET in November that it was "not fun" filming The Flip Off with Hall.

“When someone is insecure and doesn’t like to watch you win, that really puts a damper on everything," she explained. "I feel like I was not shining as bright, to try to not make him feel emasculated. But who wants to live like that?”

She added, "I did not enjoy filming with him so having split up made this so much easier and so much better in every way. The show would've been hard to film… jealousy over Tarek [he] doesn't like our dynamic. Tarek and I have our own dynamic. Some people call it flirty but it's more like, for me, it's like a sibling type thing."

In their own interview, Haack's costars agreed, noting that the show was better off without Hall's presence.

"It was kinda nice to see him go," said Heather Rae, while El Moussa observed that Haack was quick to bounce back from her ex's departure.

"At the beginning she was going through it but she recovered really quick," he said. "You could just tell, her energy's back, she's happy, she's excited about life."

Haack shares two kids with her first ex-husband and former Flip or Flop costar, El Moussa, and one child with her second ex-husband, Celebrity IOU: Joyride star Ant Anstead.
