The show, which recalls Jerry Seinfeld’s popular web series “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee,” will begin in Puerto Rico with Paul, an influencer and boxer. The two will ride in Paul’s Ford Bronco and drive to his gym, where his brother, Jake Paul, is training for a fight.
Episode 2 will focus on country singer Jelly Roll, who takes Cena for a ride in Nashville in his RAM 1500 Laramie. In Episode 3, the Miz takes Cena around Los Angeles in his Tesla as the two bond over their shared history. In the finale, Blink-182 drummer Barker shows off his 1987 Buick GNX and Mercedes Benz G-Wagon and drives Cena to his studio where they collaborate on an original song.
“What Drives You” furthers Cena’s existing relationship with Roku Originals, having appeared in “Die Hart 2: Die Harter” and the docuseries “WWE: Next Gen,” which he starred in and executive produced.
ITV America’s Leftfield Pictures will produce “What Drives You.” David George, Shawn Witt, Sean Moran, Jay Bienstock, Cena and Dan Baime executive produce. Sean Boyle oversees the series on behalf of Roku Originals.
