I'm A Celebrity's Kerri-Anne calls out the show's 'selective editing'

Kerri-Anne Kennerley has spoken out about her time on this year’s season of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! and her now-infamous clash with Married At First Sight star Domenica Calarco.

The 69-year-old TV royalty tearfully quit the reality show after butting heads with Dom, who called her a “c**t” and the most “self-centred” person she’s ever met when she refused to participate in an eating challenge.

During an appearance on 2DAY FM’s Hughesy, Ed & Erin on Friday morning, Kerri-Anne was asked whether she regrets leaving the show after just four days in the South African jungle.

“What people didn't see was the most appalling and I think people would be shocked with selective editing,” she firmly replied.

“Fair to say you don’t need to be sworn at by a MAFS contestant, Kerri-Anne,” host Dave ‘Hughesy’ Hughes said.

“I don't need to be trolled, coerced, and that's all I've got to say,” she concluded.

Dom speaks out about her feud with Kerri-Anne

Kerri-Anne’s comments come shortly after Dom spoke with Yahoo Lifestyle about their ‘feud’ and explained the reason behind her fiery outburst.

“The thing about being in the jungle is that you have to be selfless,” she shared. “It's not just about you, you have to go in as a team player.

“And I think it just got to a point where I was frustrated that she wouldn't even try and I just was like, ‘Why are you even here bro?’. You can't have your cake and eat it too. You can't enjoy camp life and eat the food that we’re scavenging for and then come to trials and say you're not going to do it.”

Dom added that she knew the Australian public would constantly vote Kerri-Anne into trials for entertainment value, so she felt like it was important to call out her lack of effort.

“It happened the way it happened, and look, I'm not proud of the language that was used, but I still stand by everything and the messaging behind it because that's how I truly felt, and I still feel that way,” she said. “I would have just, I guess, articulated myself in a better way, but in the heat of the moment when you're starving and you've eaten soup for a few nights, it happens.”

Host Julia Morris has also since called the incident “unacceptable”, however, she said she and Dr Chris Brown “could see both sides of the frustration”.
