Kerri-Anne Kennerley's surprising I'm A Celeb claim on The Project
The 69-year-old star says she didn't want to leave.
Kerri-Anne Kennerley has revealed all about her experience on I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! during an explosive interview on The Project. The star sensationally quit the reality TV show after just four days, after an eating challenge with Ian ‘Dicko’ Dickson, Woody Whitelaw and MAFS’ Domenica Calarco pushed her over the edge.
When Kerri-Anne refused to eat an antelope testicle, Dom tore her apart and called the 69-year-old “self-centred”. Chatting to Georgie Tunny during Friday night’s show, the Aussie TV legend claimed that her fiery clash with Dom was the real reason behind her decision to leave.
The star said leaving the jungle was “emotional”, claiming that she didn’t actually want to leave that early and saying her decision was "hard".
“It was a pretty rough previous hour and a half. I can’t remember having ever been spoken to like that…in my entire life.”
The contestant also believes that Dom’s scathing attack was more about her own struggles with the challenge.

“Dom had two tries, at trying to finish the testicles. She couldn’t manage it. And that, you know, that’s nothing to be ashamed of. She’s a vegetarian, and it’s pretty yucky,” Kerri-Anne declared.
“She was more disappointed in herself, I believe, and I could tell, mentally she just got really, really down on herself. She was disappointed that she couldn’t finish [the trial]…she was imploding way before she got to me."

When Georgie pushed Kerri-Anne on Dom’s theory that the star was ‘refusing to try’, the TV icon made a surprising claim.
“If Dom had finished [the trial], or started and finished that, I would’ve done it. I could have done it, I would’ve done it. The boys, they got right into it. If Dom had done it, I would’ve,” she said, in a convincing manner.
“I would never have let those three down, without question.”
Kerri-Anne on Dom’s ‘hurtful’ comments
This comes after Kerri-Anne opened up about how ‘disappointing’ her time on the show had been.
Kerri-Anne spoke with The Daily Telegraph about her decision to quit, saying was sad to leave as she "loved" the company of most of her campmates.
"I am very disappointed that I couldn't stay," she said, saying the challenges were very difficult.

Kerri-Anne added that while she'd never been camping, and had "never wanted to" before joining the show, she learned a lot about camping life.
"I am a tough old bird but that doesn't mean what people say aren't hurtful," she said of Dom's comments to her during her final challenge. "I also just wanted the camp to know I am not a horrible person. But you can't have regrets as it's not how life works."
