I'm A Celebrity fans threaten to boycott the show over Raygun clue: 'Ruined'
It's been rumoured for some time that Raygun will appear on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! and fans aren't happy.
I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! kicks off this Sunday night on Ten, and audiences are eagerly trying to figure out who will be sent to the jungle this year. Former Bachelor star Matty J announced this week that he was the person behind the 'Romantic Leading Man' clue, and is already in South Africa awaiting the season premiere.
However, there has been constant speculation since last year that the 'Headline Grabbing Olympian' is Rachael 'Raygun' Gunn. And audiences aren't impressed.
On Instagram and TikTok, a video of the Olympian revealed three emojis that are clues to their identity. The Olympian's emojis are the kangaroo, a croissant and a baseball cap.

Of course, this immediately sent viewers into a tailspin, with many saying that the clues are very obviously referencing Raygun, who did a kangaroo-like dance move during her breakdancing routine at the Paris Olympic Games while wearing a green cap.
"If it's Raygun, I'm not watching," one Instagram user said.
"Our household will not be watching if Raygun is on," another said. "This will be the last year for the show of she’s on it too, as ratings will tank. You should listen to your viewers."
"Hope it's not the break dancer because she is NOT a celebrity, and I seriously won't be watching if it's her," a third said.
"If it is Raygun I'm boycotting," a fourth wrote.
"Way to ruin the show," someone else said.
Some were really passionate, with one person writing, "If it's Raygun I refuse to watch. She is an embarrassment to the country and should not be given any screen time whatsoever!"
"Oh please no, I’m tapping out early if it’s Raygun!" yet another said. "Bad casting decision."
A few people were keen to see Raygun on the show, with one person writing, "Please be Raygun, I swear it would be so funny."
"I know it’s controversial and I’ll be in the minority but I’ll definitely be supporting Raygun if she’s in the jungle," another agreed.
Who else could I'm A Celebrity's Olympian contestant be?
Others suggested that Ten is trying to distract us from the real answer, with one person saying, "I feel like they want us to think it’s Raygun but it’s not."
"I swear this is Jess Hull," one viewer suggested. "As soon as I heard the voice I was so certain even though they have computerised it."
"I literally was thinking the same thing!" another agreed.
"One of the Fox sisters?" another said, referencing Jess and Noemie Fox. "They are Australian and French I’m pretty sure."
It's true, both sisters were born in France and, of course, competed last year in Paris, so perhaps!
"One of the Fox sisters… for sure!" another said.
"Really hope this is Jess Fox," a third added. "The green cap throws me. I hope it's Jessica as it would be fantastic getting to know her."
"Jess is commentating on the tennis so maybe her sister?" another said.
"Maybe Shayna Jack," someone else wrote, referencing the Olympic swimmer.
I'm A Celebrity hosts responds to rumours Raygun is entering the jungle
I’m A Celebrity host Julia Morris has now responded to the rumours ahead of the show’s premiere and official cast reveal on January 19, telling Yahoo Lifestyle that she thinks the controversy surrounding Raygun’s hypothetical casting is hilarious.
"What I love is reading if someone who's sort of controversial, say for example like Rachael, that people are like, 'That’s it, you’ve lost me!' It’s so funny like, alright love, guess what? You're gonna watch it," she remarks.

"There’s no way of knowing like, 'This is definitely who it is'. One of the great calling cards of the show is that on the opening night, you have to tune in to find out."
Julia's co-host Robert Irwin also encouraged fans to not take the clues so literally as "the whole point is to throw everyone off".
"You have to remember the clues are supposed to be like, right on the money and also misleading," he shares. "Some of them are completely direct, and then some of them seem like it's going to be this, but it's actually that. There’s a big grand plan that everyone has, it’s very cryptic."
