Yahoo Lifestyle Host Chelsea Handler Embraces Ruffle Details in Sculptural Maticevski Dress for Critics Choice Awards 2025 Red Carpet
Chelsea Handler arrived on the 2025 Critics Choice Awards red carpet in a Maticevski midi dress on Friday. The comedian is hosting this year’s ceremony, held at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, Calif.
Handler’s dress, made from crepe, featured ruffle detailing on the side and a sculptural strapless silhouette. She paired it with mesh pumps embellished with crystals, a golden bracelet and diamond earrings and rings.

In 2024, Handler collaborated with stylist Molly Levin on her red carpet looks. Levin dressed the comedian in Marchesa for the Vanity Fair Oscar party in March and Monique Lhuillier for the Mark Twain Prize that same month.
Handler has also been working with Levin for the press tour of her new book, “I’ll Have What She’s Having,” which will be released on Feb. 25. The comedian recently stopped by “The Kelly Clarkson Show” on NBC to discuss her new project. She wore a polka-dot dress from Favorite Daughter.
Keeping it busy, Handler debuted her first Las Vegas residency, “Chelsea at The Chelsea,” at The Chelsea at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. Handler is donating $1 from every ticket sold to The Animal Foundation in Nevada. The show will run through April.
This is Handler’s third consecutive year as a host of the Critics Choice Awards. The star-studded event celebrates the most outstanding achievements in film and television.
The 30th Annual Critics Choice Awards takes place on Friday, broadcasting live on E! from the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica. The ceremony, originally scheduled for Jan. 12 and then Jan. 26, was postponed due to catastrophic wildfires in the Los Angeles area.
