Home and Away's Tammin Sursok stuns with surprise transformation

Former Home and Away star Tammin Sursok has just started filming a new project for a network she’s ‘always wanted’ to appear on.

In a clip from her first day on set, she revealed that she had to undergo a transformation for the role — sporting a fake belly to appear pregnant.

Although fans have speculated that Tammin is away filming a holiday or Christmas movie, she let it slip that her new project is a thriller.

“It’s actually a thriller, and it’s on a really awesome channel in the US and it will be international too. The channel that it’s on, that it’s gonna be on streaming, is a channel that I’ve wanted to be on such a long time, and it’s on my vision board,” she told fans.

“When they told me yesterday that it was sold to this network channel, I just thought, ‘Of course it is, because it’s on my manifestation board right there’.”

The 39-year-old star has currently left her family for while she films in Canada, and has been sharing videos from her time on set.

Tammin shared a video from her makeup chair in the morning, and then gave fans a glimpse inside her ‘cute little trailer’.

She also showed the film crew hard at work in a studio, labelling the clip as ‘on set shenanigans’.

Tammin’s ‘painful’ admission

This comes after the actress opened up about how ‘painful’ it can be to balance motherhood with a career as a Hollywood star.

She admitted on Instagram that leaving her daughters Phoenix, 9, and Lennon, 3, for an extended period of time when filming is ‘really painful’.

“Real talk for a second. I leave in three days to go shoot a movie in Canada," she began.

"I’m so excited for this new experience and to play the lead in another film, is such a blessing. But I’m gonna be away from my kiddos and my husband for a while. And it still is really painful,” she explained to her fans.

The star added that she wasn’t able to leave her family for even one day when her daughters were younger.

“In the beginning, I couldn’t cope. I could not go away for like a day without having a complete breakdown. And now I can do it, but it’s still painful,” she said.

Tammin shares parenting duties with her husband, Sean McEwen, who works as a director and producer in the film industry.

Tammin praised her husband for working with her ‘as a team’, saying that they alternate looking after their daughters while the other tackles a new project.

“When he goes and films, I’m with the kids. When I go and film, he’s with the kids. And so they’re very used to being with both of us, it’s not one or the other,” she said.

The Aussie star finished her video saying that while she knows her family will be fine in her absence, it doesn’t stop her ‘heart hurting’.
