Home and Away star's wild transformation shocks fans: 'Suits you'
Home and Away star Patrick O’Connor has divided fans with his brand-new look.
The actor, who plays Dean Thompson on the show, has followed Kawakawa Fox-Reo’s (Nikau Parata) lead and bleached his hair blonde.
Showing off his new look on his Instagram stories, Patrick posed with his cavoodle Winnie on a balcony in Sydney.
His usual dark brown, messy hair has been replaced with a short blonde hairdo.

Fans were unhappy with the change, with some calling it ‘ridiculous’ and ‘awful’ on social media.
“Not a fan of the new colour,” one wrote.
“Mmm not sure, I’ll have to get used to it but it makes your eyes stand out,” another pointed out.
“No no no, it looks horrible,” a third chimed in.
Others shared their support for Patrick’s new look, saying that blonde hair really ‘suits him’ and makes him look ‘sexy’.
“I love your new hairdo Paddy, it feels nice and fresh when you get a new haircut and colour,” a fan gushed.
“Still handsome no matter what colour hair Paddy has,” added a second.
“The colour suits you Paddy, it makes you look younger, love it,” another wrote.

Rumours have been swirling around Patrick and his partner Sophie Dillman (Ziggy Astoni) for the past month, with many fans wondering if the pair have left the soap for good.
The couple have been regulars on the show for over four years, with their onscreen pairing being one of the show’s most-loved romances.
Some sleuthing fans suggested that Patrick’s new hair colour could be for another future project.
“I reckon he’s doing it for a movie or TV show or something. Love it though,” one fan guessed.
“Must be the in thing when you leave Home and Away, you bleach your hair. [Kawakawa-Fox Reo did] the same thing,” another pointed out.
“Probably because they can’t alter their appearance when employed as an actor, so when they finish up they go for a drastic change. This change did him no favours though,” added a third.
Fans rush to Patrick's defence
Some fans weren't happy with the negative comments and quickly rushed to protect the star.
"Please remember we might not like it but it’s paddy’s hair if he likes it and feels comfortable with it then that’s all it matters," one fan wrote.
"The blonde really brings out your eyes," another added.
"I think both hair colours suit either or he surprisingly looks very different as a blonde!" remarked a third.
