Holland Taylor Joins Matthew McConaughey & Woody Harrelson’s Brothers Comedy Series At Apple

Emmy winner Holland Taylor is set as a series regular opposite Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson in their untitled brothers comedy series for Apple TV+.

The 10-episode half-hour comedy reunites Harrelson and McConaughey, who play heightened versions of themselves in a heartfelt odd couple love story revolving around their strange and beautiful sibling-like bond. Matthew and Woody’s close friendship is tested when their combined families attempt to live together on Matthew’s ranch in Texas.

Taylor will play Matthew’s mother Ma Mac.

David West Read (The Big Door Prize) serves as showrunner on the untitled comedy from Skydance Television, which he executive produces with McConaughey and Harrelson, alongside David Ellison, Dana Goldberg and Matt Thunell for Skydance Television and Bill Bost and Jeremy Plager.

Taylor is coming off her ninth career Emmy nomination last year for Apple TV+’s The Morning Show; she won in 1999 for The Practice. Her recent credits also include the Off-Broadway play N/A, in which she starred as N – Nancy Pelosi, film Quiz Lady and an arc on Showtime’s Billions. She is repped by Gersh.
