Hallmark's Newest Christmas Movie Stars Real-Life Couple

We're already halfway through Hallmark Channel's Countdown to Christmas movie event and this holiday weekend has a few tentpole movies including Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story pairing up Hallmark Channel and the NFL for the first time. Premiering ahead of Holiday Touchdown, on the same day, is Believe in Christmas, featuring real-life couple Meghan Ory and John Reardon. What is Believe in Christmas about?

When Beatrice (Ory) reluctantly joins her best friend on a trip to the enchanting Christmasland, she’s skeptical of the holiday magic surrounding them. But as she experiences festive traditions and meets a charming stranger named Ethan (Reardon), she begins to question what’s real and what’s part of the experience. In the end, Christmasland helps Beatrice rediscover hope, love, and the magic of new beginnings.

Meet the cast of Believe in Christmas

Meghan Ory (Beatrice)

Meghan Ory starred in the Hallmark Channel series, Chesapeake Shores. IRL, she is married to fellow actor John Reardon. The couple have been married since 2008 and have three children. She also starred as Red Riding Hood/Ruby in the ABC series, Once Upon a Time. Ory has also appeared in Dashing Through the Snow and The Secret Gift of Christmas for Hallmark. Other credits include Intelligence, Supernatural, and NCIS: New Orleans.

Fun fact: Ory has guest starred on her husband's television series, Hudson & Rex.

John Reardon (Ethan)

John Reardon currently stars in the Canadian series, Hudson & Rex, which can be viewed here in the US on UPtv. His previous Hallmark Channel credits include Love on the Sidelines and the fan favorite The Christmas Secret. Other credits include Artic Air, Supernatural, and Eureka.

Fun fact: Reardon and Ory met while filming the 2006 mini-series, Merlin's Apprentice.

Kevin Hanchard (Porter)

Hanchard is probably best known for his role as Det. Arthur Bell on Orphan Black. He currently stars opposite John Reardon as Superintendent Joe Donovan on Hudson & Rex. Other credits include Ginny & Georgia, Cardinal, and Wynonna Earp.

Lindura (Emilia)

Lindura's work as a model can be seen in dozens of ad campaigns. She has also appeared in over 40 television commercials. She has appeared on Sullivan's Crossing, Ghosts, and A Christmas Recipe for Romance.
