Golden Globes 2025: Film and TV's biggest stars stun on the red carpet
The Golden Globes kick off the awards season this year and Aussie stars and nominees such as Nicole Kidman, Cate Blanchett and Naomi Watts are set to appear.
The Golden Globes red carpet has kicked off and we can't wait to see what all the A-listers are wearing this year. We have several Aussies nominated, with Nicole Kidman, Cate Blanchett, Naomi Watts and Guy Pearce all in the running.
Nicole is nominated for Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Motion Picture (drama) for her high-ranking CEO Romy Mathis role in Babygirl. It's the 17th Golden Globe nomination for Nicole, with the star saying she's "incredibly grateful".
Cate is up for her role as documentarian Catherine Ravenscroft in Disclaimer, and Naomi is up for her role as Babe Paley in Feud: Capote vs. the Swans. The two Aussie actresses will battle it out with other acclaimed Hollywood stars like Jodie Foster (True Detective: Night Country), Sofia Vergara (Griselda), Kate Winslet (The Regime), and Cristin Milioti (The Penguin).

Emilia Pérez is the film with the most nominations, with the musical thriller starring Selena Gomez up for 10 awards. The Bear leads the way for TV, with five nominations.
There are plenty of first-time nominees including Nobody Wants This' Adam Brody who gained a whole new set of admirers two decades after shooting to fame on The OC.
Gold and metallics took over the red carpet tonight, with countless stars following the trend and looking incredible in the process.
Nicole Kidman
Nicole Kidman sparkled as she walked down the red carpet in her glittering gown.
Cate Blanchett
Cate Blanchett looked gorgeous in her custom gold Louis Vuitton gown, the star is up against her fellow Aussie, Naomi Watts for Best Performance by an Actress in a Limited Series, Anthology Series, or a Motion Picture Made for Television. Cate previously wore this look at the Cannes Film Festival in May last year.

Glen Powell
Glen Powell is nominated for Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy for his work on the Netflix film Hit Man. The star looked very suave in a black tuxedo, choosing to go without a tie for the occasion.
Cynthia Erivo
Wicked star Cynthia Erivo looked incredible as she walked the carpet. The star is nominated for her turn as Elphaba in the movie version of the fan-favourite musical.
Ariana Grande
Ariana Grande surprised many by wearing gold and not pink! The star is also nominated for her performance as Glinda in Wicked.
Miley Cyrus
Miley Cyrus was stunning in a Celine gown with cut-outs. She's nominated for Best Original Song, Motion Picture for 'Beautiful That Way' from The Last Showgirl.
Zendaya
Zendaya, who is nominated for her work in Challengers, wore a gorgeous orange gown with matching pumps.
Angelina Jolie
Angelina Jolie, as always, was stunning in her metallic look. The star is nominated for her role in Maria.
Adam Brody
Adam Brody is nominated for his role in Netflix's Nobody Wants This, and looked very suave in a green tuxedo.
Dax Shepard and Kristen Bell
Kristen Bell, who is also nominated for Nobody Wants This, posed with her husband Dax Shepard. Dax opted to add a casual edge to his outfit with some Vans checkerboard sneakers.
Guy Pearce
Aussie star Guy Pearce rocked a slate tuxedo for the evening. He is nominated for his role in The Brutalist.
Demi Moore
Demi Moore followed the gold trend tonight and looked incredible. The star is nominated for her work in The Substance.
Timothée Chalamet
Timothée Chalamet is nominated for his performance as Bob Dylan in A Complete Unknown. The star looked very handsome as he posed for photographers.
Mindy Kaling
Mindy Kaling was stunning as she posed in a gold strapless gown on the carpet.
Richard Gadd
Baby Reindeer's Richard Gadd is in for a big night, the star created the hit Netflix series, and it is up for several awards.
Cooper Koch
Cooper Koch looked suave in a classic black tuxedo. The star is nominated for Best Performance by an Actor in a Limited Series for his work in Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story.
Kate Winslet
Kate Winslet is nominated twice tonight for her work in Lee and The Regime, the star chose to wear a suit rather than a gown.
Jeremy Strong
Succession's Jeremy Strong went down a different route to most of the men, opting for a green, velvet look with a matching bucket hat. The star is nominated for his role in The Apprentice.
Andrew Scott
Andrew Scott also went for a different look with a bright blue outfit. The star is nominated for his work in Ripley.
Elle Fanning
Elle Fanning's film A Complete Unknown, in which she stars alongside Timothee Chalamet, is nominated tonight.
Dakota Fanning
Elle's older sister Dakota is nominated for her work in Netflix's Ripley. The star looked incredible in her red gown.
