Fans have taken to social media to discuss the 'strange' habit.

Eagle-eyed Farmer Wants A Wife viewers have noticed a surprising detail with one of this year’s stars and their strange kissing technique.

Fans have pointed out that Farmer David, who has locked lips with a number of his contestants so far this season, keeps his eyes open whenever he kisses.

One fan took to a popular Facebook group for the show to discuss the odd habit, writing: “What's with David kissing with his eyes open each time. So weird!”

“Omg! Right. It’s not even me and it creeps me out,” someone replied, while another added, “I cringed every time it happened”.

“I’ve noticed that too. It’s so strange,” a third wrote.

“My 11-year-old daughter screamed out last night after we were watching reruns ‘ewwww he kisses with his eyes open’,” a different user commented.

“He’s kissed so many girls of late, he’s just making sure he calls the girl he’s kissing by the correct name - so he stares at her face to be sure,” one person joked.

Meanwhile, some fans theorised that the reason why the 29-year-old Queensland apple farmer keeps his eyes open is because he “isn’t really into” the woman he’s kissing.

“I don’t think he’s fallen for any of the girls if he’s kissing with his eyes open,” one viewer remarked.

“He’s obviously not in the moment,” someone else replied.

Natalie Gruzlewski announces shock twist

Just as this year’s farmers were getting comfortable with their romantic connections, the show’s co-host Natalie Gruzlewski introduced a major twist during Sunday night’s episode.

Natalie revealed that 10 intruders would be joining the show, with the farmers tasked with taking two women on a speed date to choose which one they had a connection with.

“As you all know, I’ve had the pleasure over the years of helping many farmers find their soulmate,” she said.
