Fans Think Taylor Swift’s “T” Thigh Chain Is a Travis Shout-Out: “What If He’s Written ‘Mine’ on My Upper Thigh”
Taylor Swift stepped out at the 2025 Grammys last night, wearing a corseted Vivienne Westwood minidress in what we can all agree is “Chiefs Red,” paired with a red lip, red heels, red earrings, and—most significantly—a red “T” thigh chain.
Taylor basically can’t walk out of the house without fans analyzing her outfits for potential Easter eggs (guilty), and last night was no different—especially thanks to this chain. The most obvious theory? That Taylor was repping herself due to her name, you know, starting with the letter “T.” There’s also my personal—and probably delusional—theory that this is a nod to the imminent arrival of the (Taylor’s Version) of her self-titled debut album, which Swifties have been anticipating for a moment.
But the consensus among fans on Twitter is that Taylor’s “T” chain is a shout-out to Travis Kelce, who is currently in New Orleans preparing for the Super Bowl.
Oh you know that T on her chain doesn't stand for Taylor 👀👀👀 pic.twitter.com/ZywCGD07ea

The evidence? First of all, the aforementioned “Chiefs Red” of it all. But then there are Taylor’s lyrics—like the fact that she literally referenced initial chains with “I want to wear his initial, on a chain ’round my neck, chain ’round my neck.”
No more initial on a chain around her neck but an initial around her upper thigh 🥹😫 @taylornation13 @taylorswift13 #grammys #TTPD pic.twitter.com/lXIdk7M2I1

Or the fact that she sings, “What if he’s written ‘mine’ on my upper thigh” in “Guilty as Sin.”

Or even the “loving you is red” of it all!!!
Either way, jewelry designer Lorraine Schwartz—who collaborated with Taylor on this “T”—reposted (on Instagram Stories) the video below of a fan theorizing the “T” stands for Travis on her Instagram Stories, so...
