Donny Osmond Announces New Co-Star of His Las Vegas Residency: His 14-Year-Old Self
Donny Osmond is ready to "make history" during his Las Vegas residency.
On Wednesday, the "Puppy Love" artist revealed he has "a new co-star" at his concert series hosted by Harrah's Las Vegas Showroom: his teenage self!
"We are going to be making history together," Osmond, now 67, said in the video. "Can you imagine sharing the stage with your 14-year-old self?"
"Well, it's happening!" he assured fans before letting them in on the secret to making the show a truly one-of-a-kind performance. "Thanks to some mind-blowing AI and CGI technology, I’m going to be talking and singing with Donny Osmond–you know, the one from 1972."
The video announcement concluded with a preview of what concertgoers can expect during the live performances–some banter between "the real Donny Osmond" and "the original Donny Osmond."
"Who wants to go back in time? 💜," Osmond further teased in the caption accompanying his Feb. 5 Instagram upload. "This is a moment you won’t want to miss."
The Donny and Marie alum's followers were just as excited for the announcement as Osmond was to be making it–but for a very different reason.
"What???" one Instagram user wrote in disbelief. "A chance to see the Donny of my 12 year old dreams?"
"Wow!!!! So amazing and freaky at the same time 😮👏👏👏👏," another shared. "can’t wait to see the whole show. Have my tickets see you in May with my os sisters.❤️."
"This could make up for when I was a kid with Donny Osmond pics all over my bedroom but wasn't able to see him at that age," one more added, joking, "Now how do I get my teenage self there? 😂💜."
Tickets for Osmond's residency are currently available for a wide range of shows beginning as early as next week (Tuesday, Feb. 11) running through the end of June.
