This New Crime Thriller Is The Top Movie On Netflix Right Now

“Rebel Ridge” is currently the most popular movie on Netflix, according to the platform’s public ranking system.

The new crime thriller premiered on Sept. 6 to mostly favorable reviews from critics. English actor Aaron Pierre plays a former Marine who travels to a small town to post bail for his cousin but gets entangled in a web of corruption in the local police force.

“Rebel Ridge” also features Don Johnson, AnnaSophia Robb, David Denman and James Cromwell.

“Cash Out”

The most popular movie on Hulu at the moment is “Cash Out,” an action flick that had a limited theatrical release in April.

John Travolta stars in this film about a professional heist gone wrong that gets personal. The cast also includes Kristin Davis, Lukas Haas and Quavo.

“The Killer”

“The Killer” premiered on Peacock on Aug. 23 to mixed reviews from critics. Directed by John Woo, the action thriller is a remake of his 1989 film of the same name about a professional assassin.

Nathalie Emmanuel plays the lead role alongside Omar Sy, Sam Worthington, Diana Silvers and Saïd Taghmaoui.

“Beetlejuice”

Following the release of the new sequel earlier this month, “Beetlejuice” is the most popular movie on Max.

The 1988 dark fantasy comedy tells a story of mischievous ghosts and family ties. “Beetlejuice” was directed by Tim Burton and stars Alec Baldwin, Geena Davis, Jeffrey Jones, Catherine O’Hara, Winona Ryder and Michael Keaton.

“The Banker”

The period drama “The Banker” is currently trending on Apple TV+.

First released in theaters in March 2020, the movie centers around two of the first Black bankers in the U.S. The cast includes Anthony Mackie, Samuel L. Jackson, Nia Long, Nicholas Hoult and Jessie T. Usher.
