Chris Olsen Breaks Down in Tears After Meeting Ariana Grande at Golden Globes: ‘Feel Like I Already Know You'

Chris Olsen shared the sweet moment he first met Ariana Grande at the Golden Globes.

The 27-year-old TikTok star shared his emotional reaction on TikTok and Instagram after meeting Grande on Jan 5. The video first showed Olsen crying with the caption "what just happened..." before the video transitioned to the sweet moment he met the 31-year-old Wicked star.

In the video, the pair shared a sweet interaction, where Grande could be heard telling Olsen, "I feel like I already know you" while they embraced. In the caption, Olsen shared some details about meeting the "yes, and?" singer and wrote that he "somehow stayed chill(ish) and had a normal convo" with her, adding, "I love you."

Fans took to Olsen's comments online to share their support for the touching moment and wrote, "you are the most deserving of this im so happy for you😭." Other fans wrote that Olsen should "bring her coffee," in reference to his viral segment where Olsen delivered coffee to friends, family, and a slew of celebrity friends over the years.

He previously shared his love for Grande across his social media platforms and even showed his emotional reaction to watching Wicked for the first time in November 2024, writing that he didn't "have words" to describe the experience.

In a December interview with PEOPLE as one of 2024's Creators of the Year, Olsen opened up about how 2024 was "one of the hardest years of my life since I got sober seven years ago," despite it also being a "big year" for his career.

After he suffered a "public breakdown" back in August, Olsen opened up about his decision to make one of his accounts private and said "I decided whatever I was doing wasn't working anymore for me personally. So I decided to change everything I was doing."

"The day after I had a breakdown, I was like, 'Why didn't I do that sooner?' " he continued. "That had been living within me and been building up for months and months and months, and it felt so good to let it out, and it felt so good to just be real."

Olsen added that "the magic has faded" from his time in the industry and "that's just meant I've had to create new magic moments." He also noted he felt that excitement return after he focused on creating content that "makes me happy."

"Part of the magic of it all is that the answer was within," he said. "I think what was making that magic fade away was me pretending that nothing was affecting me when that's not me. Touching back in with myself is what helped. And it continues to help."
